Central Arizona College is committed to providing its students, staff and visitors a safe forum for free and open expression. CAC has a responsibility to also provide a safe, secure learning environment for students, thus we encourage all parties to notify the Dean of Students Office prior to any expressive activities. This notification will also assist us in ensuring your free expression activity does not interfere with a scheduled activity for your anticipated location/date/time.
Reasonable limitations may be placed on date, time, location, and nature of the expressive activity. We reserve the right to deny, cancel, or move any activity that disrupts the operation of the College.
We kindly request THREE (3) DAYS ADVANCE NOTICE prior to your arrival.
Please observe the following regulations:
• The person who makes the reservation is responsible for ensuring that the area is left clean.
• Activities must not obstruct the flow of foot or vehicle traffic or traffic into or out of any campus building.
• No sound amplification equipment is permitted.
• There should be no interruption of the orderly conduct of College classes or activities.
• Commercial solicitations, campus sales, or fund-raising activities are NOT permitted unless they are consistent with College policy/procedure.
• Personally abusive speech and/or speech that is likely to provoke violent reactions is prohibited.
• Distribution of printed materials is permitted within the public forum area only. Printed materials may be offered, but there should be no efforts to “force” others to accept the materials.
