Any situation that presents an imminent threat to someone’s safety or the safety of others should be immediately reported to the authorities by dialing the Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch Center via 911.
Such situations can be considered (but not limited to); assault, threat with weapon, possession of a weapon, and/or threat of harm to self.
Consolidated Dispatch will dispatch emergency personnel as required to include Officers of the Department of Public Safety.
Faculty, staff, students, and others may refer a student who may be struggling with academic, personal, or emotional difficulties or who may be exhibiting concerning behavior.
Students referred will be contacted and offered assistance by the Center for Academic Performance & Persistence and/or the Office of the Dean of Students. Your concern will be routed to the appropriate office depending on the nature of the concern as described below. If a student is undergoing a COVID-19 related circumstance that may affect their ability to attend in the future please select the 'Retention Risk caused by COVID-19' option for the nature or type of concern of report.
While no fields on the following form are required, we appreciate complete information where available. If your concern is academic and have multiple students in which you are submitting a FAST for please submit a separate FAST for each student.
