Columbus State University will not tolerate academic misconduct. After being afforded appropriate due process, any individual found to be in violation of the University standards, policies or procedures will be subject to the sanctions/remedies listed in the Student Handbook.
Due Process consists of: (1) the student being informed of the alleged violation(s), (2) the student being provided an explanation of the supporting evidence of the alleged violation(s), and (3) the student being provided with an opportunity to be heard by an appropriate officer (which in most academic misconduct cases will be the instructor of record for the course).
NOTE: Non-Academic Misconduct or a Create Care Reports should be filed Behavioral Concern or Create Care Report. This may include classroom behavior or in appropriate electronic communications.
