The Office of Community Standards is a general resource for all Students and will advocate for Students when appropriate. The Office of Community Standards assists in establishing standards of conduct as well as disseminating and enforcing college rules, regulations, and policies.
FSW is committed to maintaining a civil environment that fosters learning and personal development. All members of the Florida SouthWestern State College community are responsible for their own behavior and are expected to be familiar with the rules and regulations of the College pertaining to academic affairs, social conduct, and student activities. Students are expected to uphold appropriate standards of behavior and to respect the rights of others.
When a faculty or staff member witnesses any act or behavior by a Student which tends to interfere with or otherwise disrupts the orderly conduct process, function, and/or interests of the College and determines the act or behavior is possibly a Violation of the FSW Student Code of Conduct then it should be reported to the Associate Director of Community Standards and Residence Education. The faculty or staff member will then complete an Information and Incident Reporting Form within 5 business days.
