This form may be used to report alleged incidents involving sexual misconduct, dating/domestic violence, and stalking.
What is Title IX?
Under Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972: "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational group or activity receiving federal financial assistance." The act further states that the college may impose disciplinary sanctions against a student who commits, attempts to commit, or aids, abets, incites, encourages, or assists another person to commit, an act(s) of "sexual harassment."
The current Title IX definition of sexual harrassment includes:
- Quid pro quo harrassment
- Hostile environment
- Sexual assault
- Domestic violence
- Dating violence
- stalking
