Background Information

Millersville University holds that an inclusive community is a core value that is an essential part of the foundation for our community. Millersville is firmly committed to supporting and advancing the diversity and inclusion of its campus community. We affirm our shared values, recognize our challenges, and commit to building on existing efforts to foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive campus community.  Together, using a social justice framework, we will be actively engaged in the creation of an environment that is characterized by purpose, openness, just, caring, and celebrative. We know that to create an inclusive campus community, it will take individual and collective action to challenge and respond to bias, harassment, discrimination, and oppression.

If you have experienced or witnessed an act which you deem to be an act of bullying, bias, harassment, or discrimination based on age, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, national origin, or disability status. The office of the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer is here to help you navigate the process to resolve that issue along with the B.I.T. (Behavioral Intervention Team). Millersville University is committed to protecting the physical and psychological of all members of our community.
