Application Process

Applications for Board membership are currently open and reviewed on a rolling basis.

Please note that the application cannot be saved to complete at a later date. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you are prepared to complete and submit the application within the same time frame.

To be considered for Board membership, applicants MUST be available to attend the following interview and training dates:

Wednesday through Friday, Feb. 7-9, 2024 for Individual Interviews in 300 Clark Hall

Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024 from 10:00am - 5:00pm (EST) for New Member Training (location TBA)

Unless otherwise noted, the Conduct Board interview process will be held in-person.

Eligibility and Expectations

The Conduct Board is responsible for reviewing potential violations of the Code of Student Conduct and educating the University community about the policies, regulations, and rules contained in the Code.

Candidate Eligibility:

  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and full-time status as a student
  • First-year students are accepted pending the outcome of their first-semester grades
  • Have no disciplinary history, including both academic or non-academic infractions and those occurring in the residence halls

Membership Expectations:

  • Attend bi-weekly board meetings on Fridays from 12:30 - 2:30 pm.
  • Schedule coursework and other obligations to be available for hearings (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays).
  • Uphold the highest standards for their behavior, both on and off campus, and avoid involvement in situations that may lessen the perceived credibility of the conduct system.
  • Place membership on the Board as a top priority behind academics.
  • Maintain student and Board confidentiality at all times.
  • Become knowledgeable about all aspects of the Code of Student Conduct.
  • Participate in regular committee meetings and assist with important Board functions.
  • Participate in various educational outreach efforts.
