Notice of Desire to Appeal Student Conduct Council Hearing Outcome


Appeals must be submitted to the Dean of Students office within two business days of the hearing. Appeals received after two business days will not be reviewed.

You may appeal a decision of a Student Conduct Council hearing based on the following grounds:

Procedural error: Show to have had a detrimental impact on the outcome of the judicial proceedings.

New evidence: Not available at the time of the original hearing. Absence of this evidence can be shown to have had a detrimental impact on the outcome of the hearing.

Appeal basis

If a student feels they are not responsible for the charges, they must be able to cite procedural error(s) and/or bring new evidence to bear upon the case to receive a new hearing or altered sanctions. An administrator from the Dean of Students' Office, usually the Dean of Students, will review the appeal.
