What is Title IX? Title IX is a federal law which applies to students, staff, and employees, visitors and contractors regarding incidents of discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities. Examples of these types of discrimination covered under Title IX include sexual harassment, the failure to provide equal opportunity in athletics, and discrimination based on pregnancy and other discriminatory incidents.
VAWA (Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act) protects against sexual misconduct, domestic and interpersonal violence and stalking incidents.
