Student Concern Referral


The CARE Team, an interdisciplinary team led by Student Life, meets regularly to discuss intervention and support for students who may be struggling.

This form shold be used to provide the CARE Team with information about a student exhibiting concerning behaviors or experiencing difficulties that may impact their personal well-being and success. Your report will be shared with that team, and you may be contacted about the information you provided. The CARE Team can employ a number of interventions ranging from a quick check-in to a more intensive conversations or requests.

If your concern is related to academic performance including attendance or course work, please submit the Academic Difficulty form on Slate. Those reports are managed by Student Success to connect students with appropriate academic support.

Please be aware that this form is only monitored during normal business hours. It is not monitored after hours, on weekends, or on College holidays. In any emergency, call 911. For immediate response to an urgent concern that is not an emergency, please contact the Sewanee Police at 931-598-1111.
