The Student Emergency Assistance Fund (SEAF) is available to students experiencing an emergency with a financial impact that could affect enrollment. The Student Emergency Assistance Fund covers short-term, unanticipated emergencies (up to $500) that are urgent, unforeseen, and non-reoccurring. Click here for more information regarding SEAF. Please allow 5-7 College business days for the initial processing of your application. Make sure you check your TCC email, as this serves as the primary method of communication.
To qualify, you must:
- Be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours or 96 contact hours (CE) during the current semester (applies to Fall/Spring); 3 credit hours for summer terms.
- Have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Not have received SEAF funding in the past 365 days
Types of expenses typically NOT COVERED include, but are not limited to:
- Normal and anticipated academic expenses (e.g., tuition, fees, health insurance, books)
- Penalties, fines, tickets, legal fees, or jail bonds
- Lost IDs or meal cards
- Non-essential utilities
- Household or furniture costs not related to damage or theft
- Costs for entertainment, recreation, or non-emergency travel
- Replacement of non-essential personal items due to fire, flood, theft or natural disaster
- Anticipated expenses (e.g., annual car inspection).
